Electric Titan Tankless Water Heater Is Not Producing Hot Water?

At times , you will be surprised to see that your newly bought electric titan tankless water heater fails to deliver. It happens to many house owners. Don't get panicky. It might be due to some minor snags somewhere in the system. Recently one of my neighbors had a similar experience. He had an electric titan tankless water heater installed about a year ago. One night all of a sudden it stopped producing hot water. He checked the fuse, which appeared alright , the standby light was on but no hot water, its just ice cold. He was confused.

He called the service department, who first advised him to go through the manul, which would give some idea of trouble shooting if the nature of the trouble was common. But that didn't work.

On the subsequent day the dealer sent a mechanic. He had a look on the system and within five minutes his the machine started working. Alas it was a minor snag. Your electric titan tankless water heatermay stop producing water. Of course the reason can be many. Either the sensor or the heating element might have failed. If you are experienced working around electrical devices, you can sometime rectify it. The manual can help to a certain extend. You can access the connections, and can turn off the power to the device.

Then you should be able to check both the flow sensing switch and the heating element with an ohmmeter or a continuity tester. The switch should show a very low resistance - close to zero ohms, or light the test light when the water is turned on . The heating element should show a fairly low resistance i.e., few tens of ohms, or light the test light at all times.

Of course, if the problem is too complicated, you can't help proceed further. You would need a professional help. But water heater seldom fails to deliver or experience major breakdowns. The plus point is that the new electric titan tankless water heater comes with a warranty.
